Perhaps you are wondering how you can help on a more personal level. Sponsoring a child may be the perfect way for you to help a child financially while also getting to know them through correspondence. By selecting a child to sponsor, you can provide monthly funding to help feed, clothes, house and educate that child. Your Donation is Put to Good Use!
| We operate on an incredibly Spartan budget and accomplish 5 times more than some organizations with equal budgets. No director takes a salary and every director on the board donates at least $10K a year as well as their time. Eighty-five to 90 percent of all donations go directly into Haiti - the school, orphanage, food, clothes, electricity, teachers salaries, rent of our house, vehicle repairs, water, some construction, food for villagers, charcoal, oil and water in many villages in north Port au Prince, as well as all operating expenses. This is why we can impact tens of thousands of people.
The only USA wages paid go to public relations (after donating half the work time), and video editing. Nobody else in the USA takes any money or is paid anything. On a budget of about $200K a year, including exceptional items, we accomplish what others do on $800K.
When you financially sponsor a child we make sure that child is taken care of with your money and, in most cases where necessary, we make up for the shortfall. Please consider sponsoring one or more children. You really can make a difference in the life of a child! |
